The Family Law Section (FLS) is the largest specialist Section ofthe Law Council of Australia, with more than 2500 members. It isthe national association for practising family lawyers inAustralia. Since its inception in 1985, it has developed a strongreputation as a source for innovative, constructive and informedadvice in all areas of family law reform and policy development. Itis committed to furthering the interests and objectives of familylaw and family lawyers for the benefit of the community. FLSprovides extensive and affordable continuing professionaldevelopment and education programs, as well as a range ofpublications, aimed at promoting the highest technical standardsamong the national legal profession.
